Freedom March

Freedom March

Marching for Awareness for Wrongful Convictions

March Details

Each state coordinator will plan their march along with help from volunteers. Since the issues in every state vary, there will be few requirements on a national level except that the march be held on October 2, 2010 in hopefully every state in the nation.

Some states have speakers and booths lined up for the march. If the marchers are an exoneree from the state and his or her family members and supporters, it will be considered a march. If there is but one marcher in the state, it will be considered a march. The amount of people involved isn't as important as the message--a nation in crisis and concerned over the prevalence of wrongful convictions and false allegations.

Permits will need to be secured for your state capitol along with any noise, activity, or traffic permits required by your local area.

Coordinators can find assistance through our regularly scheduled conference calls and on our coordinator forum.

More details will be added as the individual states' plans get underway.

Each state can create their own flyer if desired.
